This business is about getting the right shot and working with the leading companies in the World who have the camera equipment and cranes that connect to cars.
Many times we have to modify the car for action shots as can be seen in the picture. We work to exacting specifications to meet the criteria from the production company in conjunction with the stunt coordinator. To get the best footage we all have to work as one team and our partners are very important to us.
We have worked on some of the most amazing car chase scenes and each time they are more elaborate and exciting. The modifications required to our cars can include a driver on the roof, NO driver at all, a partial car connected to a jig
This picture shows a variety of cameras connected to the car and not only that the driver wasn’t driving the car this was being towed on a trailer.
The driver was redundant and was just acting out the scene.
The modifications made to this car were carried out with the production companies specification and was delivered by us ready to starting filming.
Our Partners are critical to the success of the end product, and we have an very close working relationship to ensure this happens time and again.
The rig used in this picture is a standard rig travelling in front of the car – typically used in films such as Coast to Coast where most of the production shots created are of the driver behind the wheel of the car and being filmed from outside.
The production companies will hire these companies on a direct basis, many times we have adapted the car to take some of their equipment and we can work with these partners to ensure the production companies end up with the best results possible.
Most of our Partner work is very varied and spend a lot of time on location around the World.
We always have our team on hand to ensure we adapt to any change required during the filming process.
Our partnership approach has been recognised time and again as although our function is to supply the vehicle required, we supply the vehicle to the specification required to the production company and the key is our partners ability to advise us of what is required. If any bodywork modifications then this is typically done prior to location shoot. Sometimes we have to adapt and this is then required locally. Location shooting is sometimes remote, so local partners step up and join us to adapt to the changes required.
